Roger and Judith Wilson

As owners of Travel by J & R, Ironwood Society members Roger and Judith* Wilson of Marina del Rey have traveled to 64 countries on five continents and have taken more than 14 cruises. However, after having been around the world, when it came down to making a legacy commitment, it was to the Catalina Island Conservancy.

“The pleasure and the connections we have had in Catalina dates back to the 1960s when I built the California Yacht Club facility on Ballast Point at the Isthmus,” said Roger, who is a Past Commodore of the California Yacht Club.

“We love Catalina,” said Judith. “We are very impressed with what the Conservancy has done to return the Island back to its natural state.”

The Wilsons have placed no stipulations how their resources will be used. “We both believe that the Conservancy will know the right way to allocate the money when the time comes.”
